The founder of Yangtze.com is Song Wu, (Michael Wu is his English name), is a native of Yichang. During his last two years at University he quickly realized that there was a dire need for timely information and travel services both for the Yangtze Region and China itself.
Michael is one of the first providers of Yangtze River cruise and China tour booking service via the Internet. His service was endorsed by the US Newspaper Charlotte Observer in 2004
CITS Network
In July 2005, the company became a part of China International Travel Service (CITS) Yichang office, and Michael is the department manager of the online division - CITS Yangtze Cruise & Tours.
China International Travel Service (CITS) is a public trading company in Shanghai Stock Exchange (Public, SHA:601888). CITS has one million US Dollars bond with government agency.

Three Gorges Dam
